The starting point

An international conference needed a digital home.

The 18th Docomomo International Conference was the first edition of this event held in South America, organized by Docomomo Chile. The site had to handle a large volume of information for three distinct audiences (organizers, speakers, and attendees), and give the organizing team the autonomy to update it without relying on a developer.

What I did

Strategy and build, in one place.

I designed the navigation architecture, the visual interface (aligned with the event's existing printed materials), and the content-management backend. I added a submission platform so speakers could send their abstracts directly through the site, using an agile approach to get a working version live early and keep building on it.

The result

A site that matched the event.

The submission platform received 512 abstract applications from speakers interested in taking part in the congress. The site has stayed live after the conference as an archive of the event.
